Eldareth is a rich and diverse world filled with magic, wonder, and danger. It is a land of contrasts, where ancient mysteries coexist with modern innovations, and the forces of light and darkness are in a constant struggle for supremacy. The continent of Eldareth is divided into several distinct regions, each with its own unique landscapes, cultures, and challenges.
Highridge Kingdom
A mountainous region known for its strong, hardy people, and a proud warrior culture. The capital, Ironcrest, is built around an ancient fortress perched on a mountaintop. Positioned in the northern region of Eldareth, the Highridge Kingdom is a mountainous area with rugged terrain and a temperate climate. Governed by a hereditary monarchy, the Highridge Kingdom is known for its strong military presence, with knights and soldiers trained in the formidable mountain fortress of Ironcrest Acaedmy. The Highridge people are proud, valuing honor and duty above all else.
The Evergrove
A vast, enchanted forest teeming with magical creatures and ancient secrets. Hidden within the forest is the legendary city of Sylvanfall, home to the elusive and wise elves. Located to the east of the Highridge Kingdom, the Evergrove is a vast, enchanted forest that spans much of the northern to eastern part of the continent. The hidden city of Sylvanfall is the central hub and has been located on map by the humans, but elves also live as tribes and clans with their own secret settlements. Governed by the Elven Council, they are known for their wisdom and mastery of magic. The elves remain neutral in most political affairs but will intervene when their forest or their ancient secrets are threatened.
The Arid Expanse
A harsh desert landscape marked by scorching heat, towering sand dunes, and treacherous sandstorms. Nomadic tribes roam the desert, and hidden oases provide sanctuary for weary travelers. The Arid Expanse lies to the south of Eldareth, stretching across the southern region of the continent. A collection of independent city-states and nomadic tribes, the Arid Expanse does not have a centralized government. Each city-state is ruled by a council or a single leader, and alliances among the city-states are constantly shifting. The desert people are skilled merchants and fierce warriors, with a deep understanding of the harsh environment they call home. The Sand Kingdom is the only organized government in the Arid Expanse, situated in the Northern aspect of the Arid Expanse.
The Free Isles
The Free Isles are a chain of islands located off the northeastern coast of the continent. Known for their lush landscapes and exotic wildlife, the Free Isles are a hub for trade and adventure. Governed by a loose confederation of island governors, the Free Isles are a melting pot of cultures and races. The islands are also home to numerous pirate crews, who take advantage of the lack of central authority to prey on merchant ships and establish hidden bases among the islands. The largest island, Stormhaven, is home to a bustling port city and serves as a hub for trade and adventure. Stormhaven is in turmoil between settlers who had arrived early on from Highridge (Wyvern Clan, Taurus Clan), the exiles from Evergrove (Lycan Clan), the explorers from the distant continent of Kianqun (Dark Lotus Sect).
The Frozen Wastes
Situated in the far northwest corner of the continent, far across the Highridge mountains, the Frozen Wastes are a desolate, ice-covered region where only the hardiest of inhabitants can survive. The city of Frostreach, encased in ice, is ruled by a council of elders who guide the city’s residents in the harsh conditions. The people of the Frozen Wastes are known for their resilience and adaptability, as well as their skill in ice magic and cold-weather survival.
